PROGRAMME:
DAY 1
Arrival in Riga, meeting and transfer to 3*** Hotel in Riga center, check in at hotel.
Walking tour of the Riga Old Town includes most important sightseeing witch surrounds interesting stories and legends - Riga Castle, the Dome Cathedral, St. Peter’s Church, the Swedish Gate, the Three Brothers, the Large and Small Guilds, Blackhead’s House and the Freedom Monument.
Shopping at Jolly Christmas market in the heart of the Old town with gingerbread, hot wine and beautiful songs.
DAY 2
Breakfast. Check – out from hotel and beginning of the trip.
In the manor house of Dunte the museum revives the legend of Hieronymus Karl Friedrich von Munchausen’s. People have told tales about him for centuries... In Latvia the only collection of vax figures is being exhibited on second floor of museum. Everything is true here, yet different...!
Lunch (European cuisine in countryside taverna).
Manor house of „Valmiermuiža” and Latvian beer, which is made from natural ingredients in the slow brewing technique from old recipes. Brewery "Valmiermuižas alus" offers an excursion and a slow leisurely tasting of fabulous drink.
Arrival in Valmiera, check in at 3*** hotel. Joint dinner.
DAY 3
Breakfast. Check – out from hotel and beginning of trip.
Valmiera - sightseeing tour by bus and by foot.
Blome. Latvian national values - real Rye bread making traditions, „Donas” country house offers their self-invented and fascinating entertainment activities:
- Bread making according to ancient tradition
- Latvian national cuisine lunch
Ranka. Arrival in Countryside Recreational and Entertainment Park “Lācītes” on the picturesque banks of the River Gauja, check in at hotel.
Relaxing in “Lācītes” offers - Turkish bath and a sauna, a swimming pool, an open air Jacuzzi.
Joint dinner.
DAY 4
Breakfast. Check – out from hotel and beginning of trip.
Medieval city Cēsis - sightseeing tour by bus and by foot. Excursion in Cēsu Castle museum.
Līgatne. Excursion in the Secret Soviet Nuclear Bunker which was built for the needs of political and state authority elite of the 1980-ies in case of nuclear war.
Lunch in the bunker canteen offers typical Soviet menu.
Arrival in Riga, check in at 3*** Hotel in Riga center.
DAY 5
Breakfast, departure transfer to airport.
